Project 1 Outline – New Bay Shore-Brightwaters Library
Two students per team The Bay Shore-Brightwaters Public Library has contracted your firm to design and prepare the site and building construction drawing sets and presentation drawings for a new Bay Shore-Brightwaters Public Library located at 2 Garner Lane Bay, Shore, NY. They will no longer be using their existing facility. There goal for your company is to design a new facility that will be site specific while having context to its surroundings yet be a new modern sustainable landmark for their town. At a minimum a green roof is required. Your client is seeking a building that is innovative.

Precedent Project
The purpose of this is to look at unique library's, looking at how they are represented. Once this is done students will have a better understanding of how library should look. Lastly, by doing so they will look at unique feature that they may use for their projects.

Zoning Requirements for Site
The purpose of this step is to understanding where and how to look for information on your building. Understanding zoning is key to designing and the requirements needed to do so.
